Pictures from Mt. Bonnell (Bucket List Item #13)

I took these a couple of weeks ago when I went to Austin. Considering that I lived about ten minutes from Mt. Bonnell for the two years I lived down there, it truly is a shame that it took me so long to finally make the trip. Still, it was well worth the wait.

Randomness Galore

I finished reading Judges yesterday and just got done with Ruth today (it's only four chapters). This now marks eight books read out of the sixty six. I think this is good. I don't actually follow anyone's plan, so I hope I'm on a good pace to make it through Revelation by the end of the year.
I'm loving this break from school. I haven't touched anything education-related in over 48 hours, which is just about the longest I've gotten since I started college. High school and before was a different story (trust me, it was) but I told myself if I was going to do this college thing, I wasn't going to be mediocre while doing it. College is expensive and getting Cs in everything isn't worth paying all that money. But still, I'm loving this break. I know I've taken more than one class before (a lot more...madness) but I'm just in one this semester and it feels like five because there's so much to do to make sure I'm on pace and doing well. Then the fact that this is my first class since last spring (when I was student teaching) could have something to do with that as well.

Anywho, since I've been here, there and everywhere in the last month (went out of time three out of the last four weekends) so here are some pictures from my travels to Austin. Enjoy :)

SoCo on a Sunday afternoon...packed but fun!

Just thought this was a cute food truck name...if I had some cash on me that day, I probably would've tried it. Some of their vegetarian options looked tasty.

Awesome ride!

I just thought this was hilarious...I don't see Austin as a 1%ville

This is the tower that contains the clock that woke me up every day for two years...every fifteen minutes starting at 8am

I'm not in-the-know when it comes to art, so I have no idea what this is called, but I think this is awesome.

Catching up on my Never Have I Evers

For March, I finally got out of the rut of trying a new restaurant! Yay! Hopefully I can keep this trend going for April!

January: eaten at Anamia's

February: eaten at Scholz Garten

February: gotten my car towed :~/

March: been to Allaso Ranch

To make things better, it's Spring Break!!!! The way my class is, I'm more than halfway through, and I got a lot of work done this past weekend. Hence, more time for other things in my updating this...and cleaning...and writing...and get the point. Which I guess is good because I've all but given up on writing and cleaning something everyday. At least I haven't completely broken Lent. Shudder. New goal: get this time management thing in order.

Bucket List Items #13 and 14

Not only did I cross two items off my list since my last post, I did two in a seven day period. If I keep this up, I'll most definitely hit my 25 by 25 goal!

#13: Climb Mount Bonnell

#14: Kayak (no action shots...sorry, but I was alone and didn't want to risk tipping over trying to get my camera out.)
