Currently Reading and something new...

Eventually I'll actually use this blog to do more than say what I'm reading. Actually share my feelings and all that jazz (ya know, use this blog as it was originally intended). I'll get it together...

Until then,

The sixth installment of the Cedar Cove series. I keep this up, I may be able to finish the series before fall classes start in August (another story for another day...long story short: goodbye Gap Year!)

P.S.: My current rotation of YouTube (I don't have an iPod...or an iAnything for that matter or any other music player other than my CD player so I utilize YouTube like it's going out of style) songs

1. Jack White "Love is Blindness" (I know it's a cover of U2 and usually I don't like covers more than the original, but I lllllooooooovvvvvvveeeeeeee this version)

2. Corday "On The Moon" (Found this one while watching "Elena Undone" on Netflix...fell in love with the whole soundtrack, but this song is Ah-MAY-zing)

3. Christina Aguilera "Hurt" (Going out on a limb and saying this is my favorite song from her. So beautiful)

4. Tamia "Stranger in My House" (Oldie but goodie for me...not sure why my 11 year old self related to this song so much, but I loved it)

5. Aranda "Satisfied" (In full disclosure, I only heard this song for the first time 14 hours ago, but I already love it immensely)

Currently Reading

I've had a lot of time to read lately...unfortunately, I can't do much right now with a bum hip, but I can read and catch up on Netflix watching. Oh, and Euro 2012 watching. Not sure I've mentioned this one, but I love me some soccer so when football (American football) isn't on, soccer (what everyone else considers football) is most definitely my second favorite sport to watch.

Made it out of Job (thank goodness, I was having issues with the book) and I'm into Psalms. I'll be here for awhile. It is 150 chapters after all...
Debbie Macomber's fifth installment of her Cedar Cove series. It's awesome how each number corresponds to its installment and from what I've seen, what year it was published. We have the sixth book, but I'll have to make a trek to Half Price to get the 7th, 8th, 10th and 11th books (my mom has the 9th, 12th and the Christmas book already)

Until next time...

Currently Reading

Still reading The Bible daily. Currently in Job, which is just...well, I have a lot of opinions about Job but I'll keep them to myself.
I'm having a Debbie Macomber summer. I'm going to try and get through her Cedar Cove series this summer. This is the fourth one in the series, but they're easy reads, so hopefully I'll be to the end by the end of August (right in time for fall semester to start)

Memorial Day Weekend Part II

Here's Part II of the mini-vacation. Yesterday's were taken in San Marcos. These are from the Austin area. Got to take my first few in B&W and Sepia thanks to me learning a new setting on my mom's "Smart Enough" phone.

Memorial Day Weekend Trip Part I

Told you I'd be my mom's birthday fell right into Memorial Weekend. Since she wanted to go out of town, we went to our adopted home of Central Texas (again). Couldn't find my camera (still can't...should probably remember to look) so all of these were taking on her camera phone. Now, I really (really really really) want a camera phone of my own. (In case you didn't know, I'm one of the few people left without a smart phone) Here's Part I of our trip in pics.

This was hilarious since my mom can't swim and she really isn't a fan of bodies of water, but we've both wanted to do this for years and we finally did.

Took several of pictures once we were in the boat. It was crazy how blue the water was there. You could see right to the bottom.

Some out-of-the-boat shots

There was a turtle on shore, but the phone didn't have a zoom in feature, so it's mostly just trees and such.

Ch ch ch changes...

I won't get into where I've been because I've been here. Needless to say, things got real for awhile, but I'm back now. Like the new decor? Hope so. I know I do.

Anywho, some life has been lived since our last convo, so I'll be spending the next few days catching you (if there's even a you left) up with what all I've been up to in between work, sicknesses and physical discomfort (my hip)

For right now, where's a recap of my Never Have I Evers and Bucket List items I crossed off the list.

I promise not to stay gone for so long again. Cross my heart and kiss my elbow.

Never Have I Ever...
April: been to Greenville

May: been to Central Market (Awesome smoothies there btw!)

Bucket List Additions:
15. Been to the Bob Bullock Museum

16. Ride on the glass bottom boats at Aquarena Springs

Until next time...(which won't be 3+ months this time around...)
